  2. In the left panel, click + next to Characters, Locations, Objects, or Concepts.
  3. Type a name → press Enter. (Press Esc to cancel.)

The new element’s sheet opens on its Overview tab.

Click any field and type. Fields grow as you write and save automatically. There’s no Save button.

The designation is the short label under the element’s name, such as Protagonist, Mentor, City, or Artifact.

  1. Click the designation line under the name.
  2. Choose a preset, or click + Custom and type your own.

Presets by type:

Type Presets

Add or change:

  1. Hover over the circular portrait → click the camera button.
  2. Choose a PNG, JPEG, or WEBP image, up to 10 MB.

The portrait also appears in the left panel, on relation cards, and anywhere else the element shows up.

Remove: right-click the portrait → Remove image. The default picture comes back.

Either:

  • Click the name at the top of the sheet → type → press Enter, or
  • Right-click the element in the left panel → Rename.

Links to the element, in other elements and in your manuscript, update automatically.

  1. Right-click the element in the left panel → Delete.
  2. Confirm.

Type in the search box at the top of the left panel. Every group filters as you type. Clear the box to see everything again.
