| Indicator | Meaning | Do you need to do anything? |
|---|---|---|
| ✓ Saved | Your latest words are on disk. | No |
| ⟳ Saving… | Cicero is writing your changes now. | No |
| ● Unsaved Changes | You’ve typed since the last save. Cicero will save in a moment. | No. This is normal while you type. |
| ⚠ Not saved (red) | Cicero couldn’t save. Your text is still on screen. | Yes. See Autosave Is Paused: Cicero Can’t Save. |
When no sheet is open, the indicator is hidden.
Closing Cicero
Section titled “Closing Cicero”When you close the window, Cicero finishes any pending save before it quits. You don’t need to wait for Saved before closing.
Autosave isn’t a backup
Section titled “Autosave isn’t a backup”Autosave protects you from losing the last few minutes. It doesn’t protect you from a lost laptop, a failed drive, or a deleted folder. For that, make backups. See Back Up a Project.
